Kudos to Harriet Kramer Linkin

Posted by Ann Donahue, Publisher, Literary Studies

As all researchers know, preparing a new scholarly edition is not for the faint of heart, even when a work is well-known and was published during the author’s lifetime. But when the work in question exists only in manuscript form, and a 2500-page manuscript at that, one can’t help wondering how the editor keeps her sanity during the long hours of painstaking transcription and inspired sleuthing that are required.

We at Ashgate are justly proud that the dedication and commitment to excellence Harriet Kramer Linkin brought to her brand new edition of Mary Tighe’s Selena are already being recognized, not only by her colleagues, but also by the popular press!
